South West Four - London/Cardiff
From a backyard party in the company of 200 party-crazed Aussies, local police and environmental health workers back on June 2001 (!), to a sell-out crowd of 20,000 up-for-it clubbers on the glorious grounds of Clapham Common (for the 3rd year running) and a debut sell-out festival in Cardiff on the August Bank Holiday Weekend 2006… the South West Four gang have certainly come a long way since those humble, yet hedonistic early days.

In the space of only 6 years, South West Four London has shot through the ranks to become Southern England's leading outdoor event and one of Europe's most important dance festivals, with South West Four Cardiff flying the flag in Wales. 2006 was a historic year for South West Four London - named after the London postcode it resides in, where tickets sold out in record time well ahead of the actual day of reckoning. In fact, over 5,000 people were turned away in total, as the realism of just how big the festival has become really hit home.

Chris, Orson: ilikemusic because... Well, is there anything else? Music is the perfect thing, it makes you feel good, it makes you feel sad, it makes you feel happy, what else is there?
dawn Leonetti: ilikemusic because... it makes me spin, giggle and bubble up - kinda my own Rice Crispies cereal ("snap, crackle, pop") in the audio form...
Kat Vipers: ilikemusic because... There's not many other things to like.
Jay Sean: ilikemusic because... It’s the soundtrack to my life.
Leon Jean-Marie: ilikemusic because... It transcends. It really creates emotion with someone. That feeling it gives you, it goes through boundaries. To create something, it just breaks through all the walls. When you connect with a song, that is it, that is magic isn't it?
Ciarran, The Feeling: ilikemusic because... I find it constantly inspiring and it’s a joy to listen to and a joy to play; it really is a huge part of my life.
simon f baker: ilikemusic because... you can transcend the confines of the material world with it, it's probably better than shagging in fact. There is virtually nothing more satisfying than when a load of chords and words suddenly come together into a song ; suddenly everything in life seems to fit and make sense once more.
Cesar Sangwa: ilikemusic because... it's there for me through thick and thin, highs and lows. I think about it when I wake up, and when I close my eyes to sleep. I like music because I'm in love with it!
Demi: ilikemusic because... Girl's love music.
