Bodyrox and Luciana - What Planet You On

When Pete Tong opens his show with your record and Zane Lowe calls your track, "an anthem in the making", it's a fair indication that you're doing something right. Now, Bodyrox and Luciana hope to repeat their success of the Ivor Novello nominated 'Yeah Yeah' with the release of follow-up belter, 'What Planet You On'. With two weeks at #1 in the DMC Buzz Chart and a #1 in the Music Week Cool Cuts, 'What Planet You On' is shaping up to be a monster hit in the making!

Luciana interview

Bodyrox (AKA Jon Pearn and Nick Bridges) and vocal talent Luciana first shot to stardom after storming into the charts at No.2 with 'Yeah Yeah'. Since then they've had a whole nation hooked on catchy lyrics and bleepy bass-lines and 'What Planet You On' is as phat, if not phatter. It will certainly silence those critics who had them in the 'one hit wonder' category, or who didn't think they had the talent to come back with such a strong second single.

Nick and Jon commented, "For such an underground record to have crossed over was pretty unheard of and something we hope to repeat. We have obviously taken a lot of time and effort to ensure the follow up is right. Making an underground club record is very different to making a radio record; there is a fine balance between the two. It was essential that 'What Planet You On' worked on both levels".

Luciana's reputation as a featured vocalist is growing stronger and stronger with every hit she helps to pen. Her catchy lyrics give dance tracks immediate cross-over appeal and her pop choruses are blatant sing-alongs. Basement Jaxx's brand of crazy, upbeat pop was the inspiration behind 'What Planet You On' and the result is a fire cracker of a track that in her own words "makes her happy and want to dance"

There is virtually nothing more satisfying than when a load of chords and words suddenly come together into a song ; suddenly everything in life seems to fit and make sense once more.
