Deadmau5: haha! Well now I realise that! I've been involved with all these people. It's one of the greatest things you can do - I've been getting my head around it.
ILM: Tell me a bit about this recent madness with Beatport...?
Deadmau5: Recent madness with Beatport...It's all pretty crazy actually. I almost didn't go down the Beatport road. Our parent labels had very little sucess with itunes and based on that they decided not to go digital because they were talking - at the end of the year - like $100 worth of sales. But the catalogue was pretty old and I thought Beatport is a pretty hit thing and we are producing things exclusivly for DJ's and that kind of market so lets put a couple things up there and see how it does. I guess a couple of tracks shone through and got on Chris Lakes poll list and people got their heads around it.
ILM: The first major sucess on there was with the BSOD and your hook up with Steve...A Bit Sketchy - which held number one for record time. What was it about that track do you think?

Leon Jean-Marie: ilikemusic because... It transcends. It really creates emotion with someone. That feeling it gives you, it goes through boundaries. To create something, it just breaks through all the walls. When you connect with a song, that is it, that is magic isn't it?
