Ministry of Sound Launch PrePay Maestro® Card
Ministry of Sound today became the UK's first nightclub and record label to launch a pre-pay Maestro® card. Available to anybody over the age of thirteen, the Ministry of Sound PrePay Maestro® Card works in a similar way to a gift voucher or Pay As You Go mobile phone, allowing anyone to upload money to the card, which can then be used for in-store and online purchases, as well as giving access to any cash machine worldwide displaying the Maestro® logo.
The innovative PrePay card programme was developed with Affinity Cards Limited, the leading provider of white label prepay card programmes in the UK.
Alongside giving independence to the under 18s, the Ministry of Sound PrePay Card provides a safer way to pay for a night out, helping those unable to get a debit or credit card to avoid carrying around large amounts of cash.
Without a facility for incurring debt, the Ministry of Sound PrePay Card also provides a fantastic way to budget an evening's spending, as users can pre-load their card with the exact amount they can afford to spend.
The PrePay card will have no effect on a person's credit rating and as anybody can upload funds (through the Post Office, PayPoint outlets or online) it gives parents an easy way to pay allowances, provides a place for students to receive their loan or a stress-free option for relatives unsure of which Christmas present to buy.
Unlike other PrePay cards on the market, Ministry of Sound is offering a series of incentives and rewards to their customers. As soon as they sign up for the card, users will be given access to the hottest new music videos and for every ten purchases made using the card, users will also be given a free, full track download of their choice.
Each purchase made will also enter them into a quarterly 'Super Star' draw, with the opportunity to win 'money can't buy prizes', including the chance to be in a Ministry of Sound music video or even to DJ at the infamous London club itself. Once a year every user, along with three of their nearest and dearest, will also be able to get access to the hallowed Ministry of Sound VIP Room, helping to make that birthday or anniversary even more special.
