The remixes on CD2 mark a change in scene, with the Estrelas Physics Que Puro mix demonstrating an up- beat funky house sound, infused with an eclectic selection of electric guitar, sax and Latin guitar riffs. It manages to blends perfectly the soothing, echoing vocals with complex and energetic instrumentals. The Oscar P and Davidson Ospina version of 'Holdin On' starts with a deep house intro before the chorus de-layers all vocal and instrumentals, going on to gradually re-build every layer until a fusion of percussion beats and instrumental riffs blend together alongside vocals to re-ignite this energetic house winner.

A delight to listen to at any time of day, this compilation captures all of the essential flavours. An exploration of high tempo to slightly bouncy end-of-the-night chill-out, to smoother music you could fall asleep to or wake smiling to. Be it a great party track, a road-rage curer, to great music you can relax and unwind to after a hard day's work. With a great blend of contemporary among eclectic, this is an album you will want to listen to again and again.

Often described as "deep brazil lounge house," Physics are an extremely talented pair of artists. Throw their melodic jazz guitar and smooth sax into the mix and 'Influences' is truly something special. As in 'Holdin On,' "good things come to those who wait;" and this, I can tell you, is well worth the wait!
