The Fantastic Four - Sue Storm (Jessica Alba), Reed Richards (Ioan Gruffudd), Johnny Storm (Chris Evans) and Ben Grimm (Michael Chiklis) - meet their greatest challenge yet as they face off with the intergalactic herald, The Silver Surfer and his cosmic-powered board.
Sue and Reed are about to be married when a mysterious alien, The Silver Surfer, crashes the proceedings and heralds Earth's impending destruction. With time running out, the Fantastic Four reluctantly teams up with the nefarious Dr. Doom (Julian McMahon) in a thrilling effort to save our planet.
One of the coolest comic book characters of all time, The Silver Surfer, rules the DVD with slick moves and eye-popping maneuvers, all while manipulating his impenetrable board in the air at unfathomable speeds. The family fun of this action-packed chronicle is intensified with super-powerful special features. Available as a one-disc or two-disc box set, the DVD includes new featurettes, extended and deleted scenes, an insider's look at the special effects, and much more.
The one-disc DVD release contains a huge wave of extras including audio commentaries by the director Tim Story and Producer Avi Arad, extended and deleted scenes and two featurettes; 'The Fantasticar: State of the Art' and 'The Four Elements'.
The two-disc Special Edition DVD includes the above PLUS another disc of bonus material including two documentaries 'Family Bonds - The Making of Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer' and 'Sentinel of the Spaceways' plus there's music from rising US star Brian Anthony.
Family Bonds is a 46 minute making-of must-see documentary highlighting all the action that went into creating the film, from concepts and casting, to production and post-production. Sentinel of the Spaceways delves in to the secrets of The Silver Surfer in this special feature that uncovers everything you ever wanted to know about this super-cool comic book character. Surf with him through his animated history, from comic book to TV cartoon to the big screen.
