G UNIT’S LYRICAL SOLDIER IS BACK…

Lloyd Banks Rotten Apple album cover / Hands Up single cover

Following on from 2004's two million selling debut album 'The Hunger For More', 50 Cent's protégé Lloyd Banks is back and ready to unleash his new album 'Rotten Apple' released on G Unit / Interscope Records on October 9th. The album features production credits from: Eminem, Timbaland, and Sha Money XL.

The Eminem-produced first single 'Hands Up' has been added to MTV Base, and will further solidify Banks' status as a fully fledged star in his own right.

The album 'Rotten Apple' features production from Havoc (of Mobb Deep) and JR Rotem as well as the aforementioned hit makers and guest spots from 50 Cent, Tony Yayo, Young Buck, Mobb Deep, Rakim, Musiq Soulchild, Scarface and 8Ball.

After two years of touring with 50 Cent and Eminem on the Anger Management tour and a #1 US album, Banks is ready to return to his roots on this album; embracing the style and content that made his rhymes unforgettable on the New York mixtape scene (he won the Mixtape Artist of the Year award in 2004).

The excitement around 'Rotten Apple' is reaching fever pitch in the hip hop world. Songs like his gritty street single, 'Cake', with its 50 Cent assist, finds Banks breaking new ground lyrically over a brilliant chipmunk soul beat. And his slick collaboration with super-producer Timbaland, 'My House', finds the G Unit captain mining the classic Jungle Brothers track, 'I'll House You', for its hook.

The first single 'Hands Up' feat. 50 Cent is released on October 16th.
