Brian Anthony chats to I Like Music

ILM: Aged 13 you worked part time at a yoghurt shop to save money for your first studio recordings, so obviously determined - what's your advice to young people on pursuing their dream career whether it's in music or any other industry?

BRIAN: For anything across the board, I'm stubborn and I never accepted the word 'no'. I had my heart set on being a performer, a singer and a songwriter. When I started people saw how adamant I was about it. I would be in a local recording studio in my home town and I'd call home and ask if I could stay in studio through dinner and skip dinner. I was just bound to continue doing it for the rest of my life, so if I had to give anybody advice: there's a lot of negative people in the world and a lot of negative stuff on the news, but, if you want to do anything, you can do anything, my dad taught myself and my brother that, you can do anything as long as you work hard for it and you remain positive in your mind and you really stay focused and it takes a lot of discipline and hard work.
