Voluptuous Panic - New Monthly Event

Voluptuous Panic
Live: La John Joseph & Whoopee Beaux Bells
DJ's Polly Cupcake & Hitman Hearn
Last Days of Decadence
July 31st, 2009

Voluptuous Panic is a new monthly evening of song and dance brought to you by the people behind ever decadent and delicious Whoopee Club. Whoopee was one of London's most talked about nights in London and Voluptuous Panic promises to be equally as thrilling.

Taking over the uber-chic East London venue, Last Days of Decadence, Voluptuous Panic will offer the discerning night owl the finest in alternative cabaret and a treasure-chest of performances and DJ's. Voluptuous Panic promises to take the venues design theme quite literally as it takes you back to the good old days when entertainment had the good taste to be as elegant as it was nasty. The night's entertainment will be simultaneously appalling and thrilling, repellent and seductive, grotesque and gorgeous.
Every month The Whoopee Beaux Belles will cause havoc, proving themselves to be the most talented and best dressed showgirls in town, hang on to your drinks though they are known to be terrible mine sweepers. Watch out for their scintillating performances on the bar and in the ladies toilet amongst other places. LaJohn Joseph will take charge as master of ceremonies for the first night; he will be seen popping up all around the venue, performing with the pianist upstairs one moment and on a stage downstairs the next. Every month DJ's Polly Cupcake and Hitman Hearn will keep the dance-floors swinging and jiving with an ecletic mix of 1920s dancetunes, rockabilly, punk and great pop. Dark, kitsch, sleazy sounds.

Voluptuous Panic will select performers who share their taste for divine deviant decadence. If you like your burlesque served cute with a 1950s style cherry on top - this is not the place for you. No sequined nipple tassels here!
