Kid British - Our House Is Dadless

Kid British

Kid British release Our House Is Dadless on Mercury Records, available from the 6th July 2009. Their album It Was This or Football follows on the 14th September 2009. Prior to the release, Kid British support The Specials on their highly anticipated comeback tour and then head off on their own headline tour.

Sampling mega hit Our House, Kid British have put their own upbeat, refreshing take on fractured inner city family life with next single Our House Is Dadless. Kid British refuse to let anything get them down and are well poised to lift the gloom this year with album It Was This Or Football. Having drawn on the street smart sound of pop heavyweights Blur and Madness, the four piece have allied their songwriting craft to a ballsy hip hop production, resulting in a rude boy mix of club-friendly beats and bedroom-styled harmonies.

Written equally by all four guys and produced by Steve Dubb (Chemical Brothers), Stephen Street (Blur) and Steve Power (Robbie Williams) It Was This Or Football follows a series of sold out 7"'s including debut single Elizabeth in October and their Leave London EP in January 09.

The band have been touring solidly since the Summer 08 and recently supported The Enemy on their national academy tour. Kid British have amassed legions of rabid fans up and down the country, even including Lynval Golding from The Specials who surprised the guys on stage at their sold out Borderline show as he wanted to invite them personally to come and support them on their comeback tour.

Kid British are James Mayer, Adio Marchant, Simeon Mclean and Sean Mbaya.
