Feeder Release The Singles Album
They've been around for 12 years, and on release of their The Singles album, you realise just how fantastic Feeder songs are. Straight in at number 2 in the UK chart. Feeder released The Singles album on May 15th 2006 for Echo, preceded with a brand new and equally brilliant single Lost & Found on May 1st 2006.
The 20 track album includes songs from the bands first album release in May 1997 up to the present day, with the appearance of 3 new tracks Lost & Found, Burn The Bridges, Save Us, recorded earlier this year with producer Stephen Street.
The band, who consist of vocalist Grant Nicholas, bassist Taka Hirose and drummer Mark Richardson (who stepped in after the tragic death of original drummer Jon Lee in 2002) originally formed in 1994 after Grant and Jon (from Wales) hooked up with Tokyo-born Taka in London. Feeder succeeded the hard way, with lots of hard work, consistent gigging and a strong belief in themselves and their future.
That belief and hard work paid off.
Feeder have already started work on their new album which is due for release in January 2007 and the new tracks featured on The Singles should give everybody a taster of the direction the band are moving.

Desyn Masiello: ilikemusic because... It saved my life!
Mutya Buena: ilikemusic because... It’s something I’ve grown up listening to, I enjoy singing I don’t think I know what I’d do without music to tell you the truth. It helps me out in so many ways.
Master Gee: ilikemusic because... It gives me an opportunity to truly express myself, unlike what happens in an everyday living situation where there are restrictions on you and limitations on you and demands on you and bills to pay, through music I can truly be comfortable with who I am, and do what I really want to do and say what I really want to say.
Taio Cruz: ilikemusic because... It’s my life and it’s the air that I breathe. It calms me when I’m feeling uptight and it’s there for me when I want to party if I want to listen to something up tempo, it’s just amazing in any situation. That’s why I like music!
Chuck, Simple Plan: ilikemusic because... It was always a way to escape whatever problems I was going through; whatever trouble I had, I could just put on a record or a song and feel better right away and I hope that our music can have the same effect on our fans.
Oliver, Young Knives: ilikemusic because... It evokes a mood and a feeling of when you last heard the track.
Alison Moyet: ilikemusic because... No one gets to choose mine for me.
Leon Jean-Marie: ilikemusic because... It transcends. It really creates emotion with someone. That feeling it gives you, it goes through boundaries. To create something, it just breaks through all the walls. When you connect with a song, that is it, that is magic isn't it?
Lupe Fiasco: ilikemusic because... It gives me a chance to escape and reach people I wouldn’t ordinarily be able to reach. And without music the world would be kinda quiet.
