Burgaboy - BASSic Volume 1

Four years ago at the age of 14, after years of drawing inspiration from the sounds of old school soul music and soul artist's such as the Isley Brothers and Marvin Gaye, to Hip Hop producers of the likes of Kanye West and Timbaland, Manchester's Burgaboy realised his love for the art of music production.

Formally known from the alias Sweet Tooth, Burgaboy begin by producing grime and hip hop music using Fruity Loops. He commonly used vocal samples from classic soul songs due to his main inspiration at this time being Kanye West, who was widely known for his sampling attributes.

A year after he started producing, Burgaboy was sent to Jamaica to study and finish his final year in high school. While in Jamaica Burgaboy began producing reggae and dancehall music. During his last few months in Jamaica he was speaking to Reggae artist Tony Matterhorn but nothing ever came of this as he was shortly moving back home.

Upon his return to England Burgaboy carried on producing Grime and Hip Hop music and sent it out to MC's across Manchester. It was spring of 2007 where Burgaboy found his love for Bassline and 4x4 music. Intrigued by the constant bass drum patterns, Burgaboy began producing Bassline. At this time he also decided to change his name from Sweet Tooth to Burgaboy.
