Galaxy Radio Promote British Urban Music

Galaxy Radio Promote British Urban Music

GALAXY radio will place the spotlight on the British Urban music scene with a new weekly show 'Born n Bred' which will pull together the finest new talents from all over the British Isles.

The new show will begin on November 1st and will be fronted by Diggz. Over the last 12 years Diggz has worked as a broadcaster on both Radio and TV for some of the biggest companies in the UK, He's also a permanent fixture at the legendary Southport weekender and many other UK clubs.

In 2003 he launched his own label random records as he was disappointed with the music he was being sent. More recently he was invited to sit on to the board at AIM, an organisation that represents the interests of 200 independent UK labels. He is known for his honesty, creativity and passion for UK music.

He says: "The British Urban scene is constantly being over looked by the media in this country, this then allows American RnB to rule over here as we fail to develop our home grown talent, I hope with this show we can provide a strong platform for them and put the UK first!".

Artists who will feature on the weekly show will include: Terri Walker, Natalie Williams, Nate James, Kano, Akala, Sway, Wiley, M J Cole, Bugz in the Attic

Galaxy Brand Programming Director, Mike Cass added, "Galaxy prides itself on the promotion it has given to top British talent; we hope this show will encourage record companies and individuals to create more, share more and inspire more."
