Ne-Yo - Stay featuring Peedi Peedi
Def Jam's hottest new r'n'b star is NeYo and on the 2nd October 2006 he releases a brand new single, 'Stay' (feat Peedi Peedi). WATCH THE VIDEO
Until the start of the year Ne-Yo was best known as the writer of smash hits for Mario, Mary J Blige, Faith Evans but that has now all changed. Signed by label boss LA Reid to Def Jam, Ne-Yo spent last year writing and recording his fantastic debut album 'In My Own Words' which entered the US charts at #1 when it was released in February of 2006.
His first single released in the UK was 'So Sick' and that emulated his success in the USA by hitting the top of the charts in March. This summer saw Ne-Yo release his second single, 'Sexy Love', which raced into the top five whilst his album was flying off the shelves. Now it is time for 'Stay'…
'Stay' is the lead track on his album and has already been a street smash in America. The track features Peedi Peedi and works DeBarge's 'Stay With Me' into it's hook. 'Stay' is further proof of Ne-Yo's outstanding talent as a songwriter and a performer. This bass heavy, upbeat track is a sure-fire club floorfiller. Not content with having hits for himself Ne-Yo recently wrote Rihanna's smash hit 'Unfaithful'.
Ne-Yo will also be performing two live dates in the UK on the 1st and 2nd November in Bournemouth and London respectively.
